【大纪元2017年12月04日讯】12月3日晚，全球各地的人们有机会看到一轮明亮的满月悬挂夜空。这是今年最大满月，也是80年来第8大满月，被称为“超级月亮”。
月球以椭圆形轨道绕行地球，所以和地球间的距离不断变化，如果满月发生时离地球越近，所看见的满月也越大。
美国科学家佩特罗表示，超级月亮（Super Moon）一般来说是指月球距离地球最近的状况，与平日的满月比较，超级月亮看来会大14%，亮度则高出30%。周日是黄历10月16，为“望月”、即“满月”之日。
周日这种情况下，月亮离地球约357,987公里，比今年6月份的满月离我们的距离近了差不多5万公里，
天文学家表示，周日晚的超级月亮会比今年6月9日的最小满月大出14%左右，同时，今晚满月的亮度也会比平常高出15%左右。
这次的超级月亮于中港台时间12月3日晚上11点47分正式登场，时值美东时间12月3日上午10点47分，因为美国东部时间和中国的时差相差了13个小时。
欣赏超级月亮的最佳时间，是在当地的日落之后几分钟、月亮升起时，会使它看起来比高挂在天空时更大、更亮。
天文学家表示，民众赏月不需任何工具，用肉眼就可欣赏，但若用望远镜，则可看出一些月面地形特征。
身在国际太空站的宇航员也在推特上贴出从太空看超级月亮的照片，宇航员Randy Bresnik写道，从太空站前排座位看去，美丽的月亮升起过程，令你感受到超级月亮的激励。

此外，12月14日将迎来北半球三大流星雨之一的双子座流星雨极大值；如果错过了双子座流星雨，12月22日还可以面向北方，尝试在小熊座流星雨中找寻流星的足迹。
