【大纪元2016年04月19日讯】（大纪元记者吴英编译报导）自周日（4月17日）晚间开始的倾盆大雨，直到周二（4月19日）仍未给得克萨斯州居民喘息的机会，目前已知洪水造成至少五人失去生命，十几万人没有电力，州长已宣布大休斯敦地区的九个县进入紧急状态，呼吁居民要采取谨慎应对豪雨并注意安全。
气象预报说，周二得克萨斯州（又译为德州）仍有雷暴雨的机会。德州官员表示，这次大洪水是2001年阿利森热带风暴（Tropical Storm Allison）以来，最严重的洪灾。
阿利森风暴同样降下暴雨，德州的最高降雨量超过1000毫米。休斯敦爆发了最严重的洪灾，成为受阿利森打击最沉重的地区。该次洪灾造成41人死亡，淹没了超过7万套房屋，还摧毁了2744套民宅，导致3万人无家可归。
截至周一下午，休斯敦地区已降下2400亿加仑的雨量，单在哈里斯县（Harris County）已造成50多亿美元的财产损失。
周一乔治布什洲际机场（George Bush Intercontinental Airport）约取消800次航班，霍比机场（Hobby Airport）约有200次航班被取消，到周一晚间才恢复正常。
十几万人失去电力
周二雨势未停但稍为缓和，德州休斯敦市长发言人贾尼斯·埃文斯（Janice Evans）表示，市政府将趁机开始清理垃圾。当地电力公司CenterPoint Energy周一已恢复十万人的电力，目前尚有二万人无电可用。
周一的洪灾，发生一些戏剧性的救援工作。一名男子在快被灭顶的瞬间逃离车子，他的黑色丰田座车立即被洪水冲走。
这一幕恰好被CNN合作媒体KTRK记者捕捉。当时KTRK工作人员正在路边架摄影机准备拍摄洪水情况，记者史蒂夫·坎皮恩（Steve Campion）看到一辆丰田汽车驶入淹水的道路，并立即漂了起来。
丰田汽车的司机打开车门，坎皮恩对他大喊：“你得出来！”该男子还在犹豫时，坎皮恩又对他大喊：“游泳！游泳！离开车子。游泳！”该男子终于决心离开车子向坎皮恩游去，坎皮恩扶着他走到路边时，那辆汽车瞬间消失在水中。
坎皮恩事后说：“在休斯敦，（洪水时）我们常说‘回转，不要被淹’。这绝对是要记住的提醒，因为永远不知道水有多深。”
70多匹马获救
在休斯敦北方，洪水涨得很快，一处牧场的主人在周一清晨大约3点醒来，淹水太深无法将拖车拉出来，唯一的办法只有将70多匹马赶到高地。
马场主人表示，以为牧场是安全的，但还是挡不住这场大洪水。
马匹后来被搁浅在附近的树林，只好动用更多的人力，一只只拖出来。幸好全部的马匹都救了出来。
